The Myrtle Beach State Park is conveniently located by the Springmaid Pier and is fun for all ages. At the park there are many different events, programs, and trails to explore. You will be surrounded by beautiful nature and have many educational opportunities without having to travel a great distance off your route. Myrtle Beach State Park has many unique sites like sea turtles, bald eagles, and various neo-tropical migrant birds.

There are a huge number of activities that you can participate in while at the park. The number one activity for all ages if fishing and crabbing at the pier. While fishing expect to catch flounder, trout, spots, drums and blues. The park also has many other programs to get involved in, which range from playgrounds, swimming areas, bird watching, and biking.

Myrtle Beach State Park has many programs specifically designed to cater to children of all ages. One of the top and most fun programs is The Crabby Experience. This is a catch and release program. Another is The Nifty and Nocturnal. It’s a hands on experience that allows attendees to get a peak of the nighttime world of the forest. Children will explore animals through sounds, and skins. An adventurous program is the Turtle Scene Investigation. The kids have an opportunity to identify clues and solve the mystery.

After spending the day exploring Myrtle Beach’s State Park, you can head back to The Springmaid Pier for some delicious food at BARnacle’s Bar & Grill. Enjoying an amazing, oceanfront view at the pier while you dine, is sure to make for a memorable experience. This bar and grille has something for everyone.
